HOW TO RIDE THE MOTORCYCLE 45 NOTE ○ If the engine is flooded, crank the en- gine over with the throttle fully open until the engine starts. ○ The motorcycle is equipped with a starter lockout switch. This switch prevents the electric starter from operating when the clutch is engaged and the transmission is not in neutral. A. Clutch Lever B. Starter Lockout Switch return the choke lever to• Gradually ward the off position a little at a time as necessary to keep the engine speed below 2 000 r/min (rpm) during warm-up. When the engine is warmed up enough to idle without using the choke, return the choke lever all the way back. •

NOTE
If the engine is flooded, crank the en-
gine over with the throttle fully open
until the engine starts.
The motorcycle is equipped with a
starter lockout switch. This switch
prevents the electric starter from op-
erating when the clutch is engaged
and the transmission is not in neu-
tral.

Gradually return the choke lever to-
ward the off position a little at a time
as necessary to keep the engine
speed below 2 000 r/min (rpm) dur-
ing warm-up.
When
the
engine
is
warmed
up
enough
to
idle
without
using
the
choke, return the choke lever all the
way back.
