GENERAL INFORMATION 51 j Power Steering Warning Light The power steering warning light will momentarily illuminate when the main switch is first turned to the "ON" position, then goes off in one second if the system is in order. If the warning light illuminates any other time, it indicates the ECU or actuator has malfunctioned, or the wiring harness has become disconnected. Stop driving immediately and see an authorized Kawasaki dealer to have the system checked. Throttle Pedal The throttle pedal is the right pedal on the floor board. Push the pedal down to increase engine speed. Spring pressure returns the pedal to the rest position when released. Always check that the throttle pedal returns normally before starting the engine. In addition, there must be adequate throttle pedal play and stop position. Refer to the "Maintenance and Adjustment" chapter for the throttle pedal adjustment procedure. A. Power Steering Warning Light
The power steering warning light will momentar-
ily illuminate when the main switch is first turned
to the ”ON” position, then goes off in one second
if the system is in order. If the warning light illumi-
nates any other time, it indicates the ECU or actua-
tor has malfunctioned, or the wiring harness has be-
come disconnected.
Stop driving immediately and
see an authorized Kawasaki dealer to have the sys-
tem checked.

If the warning light does not go on when the main
switch is “ON”, there may be a problem with the
light itself. See a dealer for inspection.
Throttle Pedal
The throttle pedal is the right pedal on the floor
board.
Push the pedal down to increase engine
speed. Spring pressure returns the pedal to the rest
position when released. Always check that the throt-
tle pedal returns normally before starting the engine.
In addition, there must be adequate throttle pedal
play and stop position.
Refer to the “Maintenance
and Adjustment” chapter for the throttle pedal adjust-
ment procedure.
