Transmission Oil
In order for the transmission and clutch to function
properly, maintain the transmission oil at the proper
level, and change the oil periodically.
WARNING
Motorcycle operation with insufficient, de-
teriorated, or contaminated transmission oil
will cause accelerated wear and may result
in transmission seizure, accident, and in-
jury.
Check the oil level before each ride
and change the oil according to the periodic
maintenance chart in the owner’s manual.
Oil Level Inspection
Place the motorcycle perpendicular to the ground.
If the motorcycle has just been used, wait several
minutes for all the oil to settle.
Check the transmission oil level through the oil
level inspection window on the lower right side of
the engine. The oil should come up to the center
of the oil level inspection window.
If the oil level is too high, remove the excess oil
using a syringe or other suitable device.
If the oil level is low, add the correct amount of oil
through the oil filler opening. Use oil of the same
type and brand as those of the one that is already
in the engine.

Oil Change
