MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 55 Idle Speed The following procedure covers the idling adjustment, which should be performed whenever the idle speed is disturbed. the idling speed 1 350 ∼ 1 450 r/min (rpm) • Adjust by turning the idling adjusting screw. j Idling Adjustment • Thoroughly warm up the engine. DANGER Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless poisonous gas. Inhaling carbon monoxide can cause serious brain injury or death. DO NOT run the engine in enclosed areas. Operate only in a well-ventilated area. A. Idling Adjusting Screw WARNING The engine and exhaust system get extremely hot during normal operation and can cause serious burns.
