Oil Change
The transmission oil should be changed periodi-
cally to ensure long engine life.
Warm up the engine thoroughly so that the oil will
pick up any sediment and drain easily.
Stop the engine, and place a container beneath it.
Remove the oil filler cap.
Remove the oil drain plug and position the vehicle
perpendicular to the ground to allow all the oil to
drain.
WARNING
Transmission oil is a toxic substance. Dis-
pose of used oil properly. Contact your lo-
cal authorities for approved disposal meth-
ods or possible recycling.
A. Oil Drain Plug
Install the oil drain plug with its new gasket and
torque it to 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 14 ft·lb).
Pour in the specified amount of fresh transmission
oil.
Install the oil filler cap.
Check the oil level after kicking the engine over 3
or 4 times.
