AIR CONDITIONING AND AUDIO (b) Windshield defogging and defrosting When the "FRONT WINDSHIELD" button is pushed, the air conditioning is set to operate and the OUTSIDE AIR mode is set. If you push the "FRONT WINDSHIELD" button once again while in the FRONT WINDSHIELD mode, the mode then returns to the last mode used. If you do not want to turn on the air conditioning automatically, turn the ignition switch off and then on while pushing the "AUTO" and "FRONT WINDSHIELD" buttons. To return to the previous mode, turn the ignition switch off and then turn it on while pushing the "OFF" and "FRONT WINDSHIELD" buttons. 20E008-1 CAUTION To remove interior fog on the windshield - Push the"FRONT WINDSHIELD" button. To remove frost or exterior fog on the windshield - 1. Turn the "TEMP" knob at the maximum temperature. 2. Push the "FRONT WINDSHIELD" button. 3. Push the fan speed control button on the right side to obtain a maximum air flow. 4. Leave the air conditioning on-off button off. Do not use the "FRONT WINDSHIELD" button during cooled air operation in extremely humid weather. The difference between the temperature of the outside air and that of the windshield could cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up blocking your vision. 109

Windshield defogging and defrosting

To remove interior fog on the windshield –
Push the”FRONT WINDSHIELD” button.
To remove frost or exterior fog on the windshield –
1.
Turn the ”TEMP” knob at the maximum temperature.
2.
Push the ”FRONT WINDSHIELD” button.
3.
Push the fan speed control button on the right side to obtain a maximum
air flow.
4.
Leave the air conditioning on–off button off.
When the ”FRONT WINDSHIELD” button is pushed, the air conditioning is
set to operate and the OUTSIDE AIR mode is set.
If you push the ”FRONT WINDSHIELD” button once again while in the
FRONT WINDSHIELD mode, the mode then returns to the last mode used.
If you do not want to turn on the air conditioning automatically, turn the
ignition switch off and then on while pushing the ”AUTO” and ”FRONT
WINDSHIELD” buttons.
To return to the previous mode, turn the ignition
switch off and then turn it on while pushing the ”OFF” and ”FRONT
WINDSHIELD” buttons.
CAUTION
Do not use the ”FRONT WINDSHIELD” button during
cooled air operation in extremely humid weather.
The
difference between the temperature of the outside air and that
of the windshield could cause the outer surface of the
windshield to fog up blocking your vision.
