4-3. Do-it-yourself maintenance n How to initialize the tire pressure warning system STEP 1 Park the vehicle in safe place and turn off the engine. While the vehicle is moving, initialization is not performed. STEP 2 STEP 3 Adjust the tire pressure to the specified pressure. (→P. 619) Start the engine. Make sure to adjust the tire pressure to the specified level. The tire pressure warning system will operate based on this pressure level. STEP 4 Press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch for at least 3 seconds. The tire pressure warning light will flash 3 times and a message will be shown on the multi-information display to indicate that initialization has started. 4 Maintenance and care STEP 5 Wait a few minutes for the multi-information display to show the tire inflation pressures (5 tires), and turn the engine switch OFF. 513
