RX400h_Navi_U (L/O 0608) AIR CONDITIONING 267 INFORMATION Operating the automatic air conditioning - D This automatic control has additional functions as described below, when the "AUTO" button is pushed. The fan may stop for a little while during warm air preparation when the ambient temperature is low in the "Floor", "Bi-level" or "Floor/ Windshield" air flow mode. To remove exterior frost, fog or inside fog on the windshield quickly, use the high fan speed setting after the "Windshield" air flow mode has been selected. The fan may stop for a few seconds during cool air preparation when the ambient temperature is high in the "Panel" or "Bi-level" air flow mode. D In the automatic operation mode, internal circulation may be used for maximum cooling when the ambient temperature is high. To take in fresh outside air into the vehicle, select the OUTSIDE AIR mode by pushing the air intake control button. D The "Floor/Windshield" air flow mode may be applied automatically, if the outside temperature is below 0_C (32_F). The "Floor/Windshield" air flow mode turning on the defogging and defrosting function in order to clean your front view for safe driving is not a malfunction.
