Opening, closing and locking the doors and trunk Wireless remote control The wireless remote control can be used to lock and unlock the vehicle and the trunk from outside the vehicle. 1 Locks both side doors Push and hold to sound alarm. 2 Unlocks both side doors, Opens the side windows (push and hold) Pressing the button unlocks the driver's door. Pressing the button again within 3 seconds unlocks the other door. 3 Opens the trunk (push and hold) n Sounding the alarm Push the PANIC button for about 2 to 3 seconds. An alarm sounds to deter any person from trying to break into or damage your vehicle. If you want to stop the alarm, push any button. This function does not work when the engine switch is in the ON position. n Operating indicator Doors : A buzzer sounds and the emergency flashers flash. (Lock: Once, Unlock: Twice) Trunk : A buzzer sounds. Windows: A buzzer sounds. n Low battery If the wireless remote control does not function or if it only operates very close to the vehicle, the battery may be low. (→P.256) 18
