AIR CONDITIONING Changing the air conditioning restriction will slightly reduce the Eco drive mode's fuel efficiency when compared to before the change was made. D Registering air conditioning settings to electronic keys D Unlocking the vehicle using an electronic key and turning the "POWER" switch to ON mode will recall that key's registered air conditioning settings. D When the "POWER" switch is turned off, the current air conditioning settings will automatically be registered to the electronic key that was used to unlock the vehicle. The system may not operate correctly if more than one electronic key is in the vicinity or if the smart access system with push− button start is used to unlock a passenger door. Settings for the electronic key and the corresponding door can be changed. Contact your Lexus dealer. D Using automatic mode Fan speed is adjusted automatically according to the temperature setting and ambient conditions. As a result, the following may occur: D Immediately after the button is pushed, the fan may stop for a while until warm or cool air is ready to flow. D Using the system in recirculated air mode The windows will fog up more easily if recirculated air mode is used for an extended period. " Rear outlets 1 2 Direct air flow to the left or right, up or down Turn the knob to open or close the vent INFORMATION D Operation of the air conditioning system in Eco drive mode (vehicles with hybrid system) In Eco drive mode, the air conditioning system is controlled as follows to prioritize fuel efficiency: D Engine speed and compressor operation controlled to restrict heating/cooling capacity D Fan speed restricted when automatic mode is selected To improve air conditioning performance, perform the following operations: D Adjust the fan speed D Turn off Eco drive mode D Customization (vehicles with hybrid system) The air conditioning control restriction of Eco drive mode can be changed to the same setting as that used in normal drive mode.
