INFORMATION
D
Operation of the air conditioning
system in Eco drive mode (ve-
hicles with hybrid system)
In Eco drive mode, the air condi-
tioning system is controlled as fol-
lows to prioritize fuel efficiency:
D
Engine speed and compressor
operation controlled to restrict
heating/cooling capacity
D
Fan speed restricted when auto-
matic mode is selected
To improve air conditioning perfor-
mance, perform the following op-
erations:
D
Adjust the fan speed
D
Turn off Eco drive mode
D
Customization (vehicles with hy-
brid system)
The air conditioning control re-
striction of Eco drive mode can be
changed to the same setting as
that used in normal drive mode.
For details, refer to the °Owner±s
Manual².
Changing the air conditioning re-
striction will slightly reduce the
Eco drive mode±s fuel efficiency
when compared to before the
change was made.
D
Registering air conditioning set-
tings to electronic keys
D
Unlocking the vehicle using an
electronic key and turning the
°POWER²
<°ENGINE
START
STOP²> switch to ON <IGNITION
ON> mode will recall that key±s
registered air conditioning set-
tings.
D
When the °POWER² <°ENGINE
START STOP²> switch is turned
off, the current air conditioning
settings will automatically be
registered to the electronic key
that was used to unlock the ve-
hicle.
The system may not operate cor-
rectly if more than one electronic
key is in the vicinity or if the
smart access system with push
button start is used to unlock a
passenger door.
Settings for the electronic key
and the corresponding door can
be changed.
Contact your Lexus
dealer.
D
Using automatic mode
Fan speed is adjusted automatical-
ly according to the temperature
setting and ambient conditions.
As a result, the following may oc-
cur:
D
Immediately after the button is
pushed, the fan may stop for a
while until warm or cool air is
ready to flow.
D
Using the system in recirculated
air mode
The windows will fog up more easi-
ly if recirculated air mode is used
for an extended period.
