Controls in detail Locking and unlocking Global locking Press the lock button on an outside door handle. With the trunk and both doors closed: All turn signal lamps flash three times. An acoustic signal sounds three times. The locking knobs in the doors move down. The anti-theft alarm system is armed. Global locking using the KEYLESS-GO lock button on the trunk lid Depending on vehicle production date your vehicle may be equipped with the KEYLESS-GO lock button on trunk lid. Press lock button 1 on the trunk lid. With the trunk and all doors closed, all turn signal lamps flash three times. The locking knobs in the doors move down. The anti-theft alarm system is armed. i To prevent a possible inadvertent lockout, the trunk will open automatically if a SmartKey with KEYLESS-GO* is recognized inside the vehicle or in the trunk. i You can also lock the vehicle using the lock button on an outside door handle ( page 62) or, vehicles with trunk opening/closing system*, KEYLESS-GO locking/closing switch ( page 114). i You can also lock the vehicle using the KEYLESS-GO lock button on the trunk lid ( page 106) or, vehicles with trunk opening/closing system*, KEYLESS-GO locking/closing switch ( page 114). Restoring to factory setting Press and hold buttons Œ and ‹ simultaneously for about 5 seconds until Battery check lamp 5 ( page 102) flashes twice. 1 Lock button 106
