X Make sure the automatic transmission is in park position P. The transmission position indicator in the multifunction display should be on P (Y page 116). You can start your vehicle without the SmartKey in the starter switch using the KEYLESS-GO start/stop button. The SmartKey must be located in the vehicle. With SmartKey X X Do not depress the accelerator pedal. Gasoline engine: Turn the SmartKey in the starter switch to position 3 (Y page 80) and release it. The engine starts automatically.
