The "starburst"symbol ndicates that theoil has been certified 3y the American Petroleum Institute (API), andis preferred for use in your 5asoline engine. You should look for this on thefront of :he oil container, and use only oils that lisplay this new symbol. If you cannot find oils with new the "starburst" symbol onthe front of the container, you should look for and use oils containing the following three things: S H or SG "SH" or "SG" must be on the oil container, either by itself or combined with other quality designations, such as "SH/CD," "SH,SG,CD," "SG/CD," etc. These letters show American Petroleum Institute (API) levels of quality.
