Starting the Engine WARNING Engine exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide and can cause loss of consciousness resulting in severe injury or death. Never run an engine in an enclosed area. CAUTION Operating the ATV immediately after starting could cause engine damage. Allow the engine to warm up for several minutes before operating. 1. Shift the transmission to neutral (90cc models). 2. Set the parking brake and turn the fuel tank valve to ON. 3. Sit on the vehicle and attach the tether strap to the ATV and to your right wrist. NOTE: The choke is fully on when the lever is pushed completely to the left. The choke is off when the lever is pushed completely to the right. The choke can be adjusted gradually, depending on how much choke is needed for starting. 91
