Bulb Replacement For the proper type of replacement bulbs, see Replacement Bulbs on page 283. For any bulb changing procedure not listed in this section, contact your dealer. Halogen Bulbs {CAUTION: Halogen bulbs have pressurized gas inside and can burst if you drop or scratch the bulb. You or others could be injured. Be sure to read and follow the instructions on the bulb package. 3. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull it from the headlamp assembly. 4. Holding the base of the socket, pull the old bulb from the socket. 5. Replace with a new bulb. 6. Reverse Steps 3 through 4 to reinstall. Headlamps To replace the low/high-beam/Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) headlamp bulb, do the following: 1. Open the hood. See Hood Release on page 243 for more information. 2. Locate the headlamp bulb socket. 280
