Calling for Assistance For prompt assistance when calling, please have the following information available to give to the advisor: Travel Planning The Saab Roadside Assistance Program also makes available a variety of trip planning information: Your name Location phone number Location of your vehicle Description of problem Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) (the 17-digit VIN can be found in the lower corner of the windshield, driver's side, or on your registration.) Model and model year License plate number Vehicle color Mileage (kilometers) on vehicle Home address and phone Name of your Saab dealer • Highway maps • Suggested trip routing • Points of interest/Tourist information These items and more will be provided to you when you call 1-800-852-9001 and outline your intended trip. Canadian Roadside Assistance Vehicles purchased in Canada have an extensive roadside assistance program accessible from anywhere in Canada or the United States. Vehicle Data Collection and Event Data Recorders Your vehicle, like other modern motor vehicles, has a number of sophisticated computer systems that monitor and control several aspects of the vehicle's performance.
