The various main switch positions are described below. EAU10510 ON All electrical systems are supplied with power, and the headlight, meter lighting, taillight and position lights come on, and the engine can be started. The key cannot be removed. EAU10660 The meter lighting, taillight and position lights are on, but all other electrical systems are off. The key can be removed. The key must be pushed in from the "OFF" position to be turned to "P". ECA11020 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Neutral indicator light "NEUTRAL" Turn signal indicator light "TURN" Fuel level warning light "FUEL" High beam indicator light "HIGH BEAM" Oil level warning light "OIL LEVEL" EAU11040 CAUTION: Do not use the parking position for an extended length of time, otherwise the battery may discharge. Turn signal indicator light "TURN" This indicator light flashes when the turn signal switch is pushed to the left or right. EAU11070 OFF All electrical systems are off. The key can be removed. Neutral indicator light "NEUTRAL" This indicator light comes on when the transmission is in the neutral position. 3-1

EAU10450
Main switch
The main switch controls the ignition
and lighting systems. The various main
switch positions are described below.
EAU10510
ON
All electrical systems are supplied with
power, and the headlight, meter light-
ing, taillight and position lights come
on, and the engine can be started. The
key cannot be removed.
EAU10660
OFF
All electrical systems are off. The key
can be removed.
EAU10821
P (Parking)
The meter lighting, taillight and position
lights are on, but all other electrical sys-
tems are off. The key can be removed.
The key must be pushed in from the
“OFF” position to be turned to “P”.
CAUTION:
ECA11020
Do not use the parking position for
an extended length of time, other-
wise the battery may discharge.

Indicator and warning lights

Turn signal indicator light “TURN”
This indicator light flashes when the
turn signal switch is pushed to the left or
right.
EAU11070
Neutral indicator light “NEUTRAL”
This indicator light comes on when the
transmission is in the neutral position.
