EAU32410 1 Recommended fuel: UNLEADED GASOLINE ONLY Fuel tank capacity: 6.0 L (1.59 US gal) (1.32 Imp.gal) containing methanol is not recommended by Yamaha because it can cause damage to the fuel system or vehicle performance problems. 1. Fuel tank filler hole 2. Fuel level Make sure that there is sufficient fuel in the tank. Fill the fuel tank to the bottom of the filler tube as shown. EWA10880 8 9 G WARNING Do not overfill the fuel tank, otherwise it may overflow when the fuel warms up and expands. Avoid spilling fuel on the hot engine. ECA10070 CAUTION: Immediately wipe off spilled fuel with a clean, dry, soft cloth, since Your Yamaha engine has been designed to use regular unleaded gasoline with a pump octane number [(R+M)/2] of 86 or higher, or a research octane number of 91 or higher. If knocking (or pinging) occurs, use a gasoline of a different brand or premium unleaded fuel. Use of unleaded fuel will extend spark plug life and reduce maintenance costs. Gasohol There are two types of gasohol: gasohol containing ethanol and that containing methanol. Gasohol containing ethanol can be used if the ethanol content does not exceed 10%. Gasohol 3-6
