Periodic maintenance 3. Turn the chain tension adjusting bolt clockwise until it is finger tight, and then loosen it 1/4 turn. Hold the chain tension adjusting bolt in place while tightening the locknut. 4. Recommended drive chain oil: SAE 75W or 80W API GL-4 Gear oil ECS00530 CAUTION: Make sure that no foreign material enters the drive chain housing. 5. Do not operate the snowmobile if you find any problems in the brake system. You could lose braking ability, which could lead to an accident.
