If this fails it will use a default IP address of 169.254.xx.yy, where xx and yy are the last two bytes of the MAC address (see label on the underside of your switch). User Guidelines Entering the IP setup command without any associated parameters will result in the switch displaying the current IP settings. If the unit has obtained an IP address from a dhcp server, entering a manual IP address will not change the IP address of the unit until the dhcp mode is disabled, as dhcp will override the manual IP address assignment. Refer to the IP dhcp command.
