System Telephones on the OpenCom 100 / Aastra 800 Display and MenuCards 1.4.10 Entering Text In input lines for text, the numerical keypad automatically switches to the entry of letters. You can enter the following characters by repeatedly pressing the number keys: Key Characters 1?!,.:"' ABC2 DEF3ÈÉÊË[euro] GHI4ÌÍÎÏ JKL5 MNO6 PQRS7ß TUV8ÜÙÚÛ WXYZ9 0¬(blank ■ Inputs are always made to the immediate left of the cursor position. ■ The input position moves automatically if you pause briefly between your inputs or if you enter a new character. ■ When entering text, the first letter will automatically be upper case, the remaining letters automatically lower case. After you enter a space, the next letter will be upper case once again. ■ While entering text, you may switch back and forth between upper and lower case by pressing a number key for a longer time. The upper-/lower-case remains activated until the next time you press a number key longer. ■ Press the ABC key briefly to switch between the alphanumeric and numeric modes (only on the OpenPhone 63 and the OpenPhone 65). 28

Entering Text
In input lines for text, the numerical keypad automatically switches to the entry of
letters. You can enter the following characters by repeatedly pressing the number
keys:
Inputs are always made to the immediate left of the cursor position.
The input position moves automatically if you pause briefly between your
inputs or if you enter a new character.
When entering text, the first letter will automatically be upper case, the
remaining letters automatically lower case. After you enter a space, the next
letter will be upper case once again.
While entering text, you may switch back and forth between upper and lower
case by pressing a number key for a
longer
time. The upper-/lower-case
remains activated until the next time you press a number key longer.
Press the ABC key
