UN Test Data (Model:3UR18650-2-T0638) 1.Test Item: Vibration (T3) P.5/10 2.Test Purpose: This test simulates vibration during transport. 3.Test Procedure: Cells and batteries are firmly secured to the platform of the vibration machine without distorting the cells in such a manner as to faithfully transmit the vibration. The vibration shall be a sinusoidal waveform with a logarithmic sweep between 7 Hz and 200 Hz and back to 7 Hz traversed in 15 minutes. This cycle shall be repeated 12 times for a total of 3 hours for each of three mutually perpendicular mounting positions of the cell. One of the directions of vibration must be perpendicular to the terminal face. The logarithmic frequency sweep is as follows: from 7 Hz a peak acceleration of 1gn is maintained until 18 Hz is reached. The amplitude is then maintained at 0.8 mm(1.6 mm total excursion) and thefrequency increased until a peak acceleration of 8gn occurs (approximately 50Hz).A peak acceleration of 8 gn is then maintained until the frequency is increased to 200Hz. SANYO Internal Procedure: As above. 4.Test Requirements: No mass loss(less than 0.1%),no leakage,no venting,no disassembly,no rupture and no fire, and the voltage retention is not less than 90%. The requirement relating to voltage is not applicable to test batteries at fully discharged states. 5.Test Date: 2010/1/15-2010/1/18 6.Test Data Battery No. Mass(g) Mass loss Voltage(V) Voltage (%) Retention( Before test After test (=90%) Other event Result Judgement At first 1 327.57 327.66 0.027 12.73 12.72 99.9 cycle,in 2 328.50 328.63 0.040 12.70 12.68 99.8 fully charged 3 328.28 328.50 0.067 12.75 12.74 99.9 states 4 328.24 328.46 0.067 12.74 12.73 99.9 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS At first 5 cycle,in 6 fully discharged 7 states 8 327.22 328.10 327.92 328.08 327.47 328.37 328.06 328.13 0.076 0.082 0.043 0.015 After 50 9 cycles ending in 10 fully 11 charged states 12 328.41 328.49 327.35 327.89 328.44 328.59 327.40 327.96 0.009 0.030 0.015 0.021 12.77 12.79 12.79 12.80 12.77 12.79 12.78 12.79 After 50 13 327.17 cycles ending in 14 327.83 327.40 327.99 0.070 0.049 fully 15 328.67 discharged states 16 328.18 328.66 328.19 0.003 0.003 Notes: L-Leakage, V-Venting, D-Disassembly, R-Rupture, F-Fire, 0-No leakage, no venting, no disassembly, no rupture & no fire 100.0 100.0 99.9 99.9 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS 0 PASS

UN Test Data
(Model:3UR18650-2-T0638)
1.Test Item:
Vibration (T3)
P.5/10
2.Test Purpose:
This test simulates vibration during transport.
3.Test Procedure:
Cells and batteries are firmly secured to the platform of the vibration machine without distorting the cells in such a
manner as to faithfully transmit the vibration. The vibration shall be a sinusoidal waveform with a logarithmic sweep
between 7 Hz and 200 Hz and back to 7 Hz traversed
in 15 minutes. This cycle shall be repeated 12 times for a
total of 3 hours for each of
three mutually perpendicular mounting positions of the cell. One of the directions of
vibration must be perpendicular to the terminal face.
The logarithmic frequency sweep is as follows: from 7 Hz a peak acceleration of 1gn is maintained until 18 Hz is
reached. The amplitude is then maintained at 0.8 mm(1.6 mm total excursion) and thefrequency increased until a
peak acceleration of 8gn occurs (approximately 50Hz).A peak acceleration of 8 gn is then maintained until the
frequency is increased to 200Hz.
SANYO Internal Procedure:
As above.
4.Test Requirements:
No mass loss(less than 0.1%),no leakage,no venting,no disassembly,no rupture and no fire,and the voltage
retention is not
less than 90%.
The requirement relating to voltage is not applicable to test batteries at fully discharged states.
