Setting up mobile data connection If your Chromebook has a micro SIM slot, you can connect to the internet using a cellular phone network. To do this, you must have a compatible micro SIM card and a data contract with your cellular provider. You first need to insert the micro SIM card of the celular provider and enable it. Before you can use mobile data network with your Chromebook, you need to activate your micro SIM card. You can follow the following procedure. Insert the micro SIM card Warning Do not force the micro SIM card. If it does not fit, ensure you have the micro SIM card properly oriented. Trying to force the micro SIM card into the slot when it is incorrectly oriented may damage the micro SIM card and/or your chromebook. 1. Turn off your Chromebook. 2. Insert the micro SIM card with the gold-colored connectors facing down and the cut-out towards the micro SIM slot. 3. To remove, push until the edge of the card gets out a little, grab hold of the micro SIM card and pull straight out.
