20 - Using the keyboard USING THE KEYBOARD The keyboard has full-sized keys, a numeric keypad, separate cursor, lock, Windows keys and hotkeys. Lock keys The keyboard has lock keys which you can use to turn keyboard functions on and off. Lock key Caps Lock Description When Caps Lock is on, all alphabetic characters typed are in uppercase. Hotkeys To activate hotkeys, press and hold the Fn key before pressing the other key in the hotkey combination. Hotkey Icon Function Description Fn + F1 Speaker toggle Turns the speakers on and off. Fn + F2 Volume down Decreases the sound volume. Fn + F3 Fn + F4 Fn + F5 Fn + F6 Fn + F7 Volume up Increases the sound volume. Microphone Turns the microphones on and toggle off. Brightness down Decreases the screen brightness. Brightness up Increases the screen brightness. Switches display output Display toggle between the display screen, external monitor (if connected) and both.
