Advanced BIOS Features The following screen shows the Advanced BIOS Features. The following table describes each Advanced BIOS Features parameter. Settings in boldface are the default and suggested settings. Parameter Virus Warning CPU L1 & L2 Cache CPU L3 Cache CPU Fast-Strings Quick Power On Self Test Silent Boot Configuration Table First Boot Device Second Boot Device Third Boot Device Boot Other Device Description Options Allows you to choose the Virus warning feature fo the IDE hard disk boot sector protection. If this function is enabled and someone attempt to write data into this area, BIOS will show a warning message on screen and alarm beep. Disabled Enabled Enabling this parameter activates the CPU internal Enabled cache. Disabling the parameter slows down the system. Disabled Enabling this parameter activates the CPU internal Enabled cache. Disabling the parameter slows down the system. Disabled Enabled Disabled This parameter speeds up POST by skipping some Enabled items that are normally checked. Disabled This item is used to decide if the system logo displays when the system boots up. Enabled Disabled Displays preboot system configuration table when Enabled enabled. Disabled This parameter allows you to specify the syste boot up search sequence. CD-ROM Flopp HDD This parameter allows you to specify the syste boot up search sequence. Floppy CD-ROM HDD This parameter allows you to specify the syste boot up search sequence. HDD Flopp CD-ROM This parameter allows you to specify the syste boot up search sequence.
