Understanding the LEDs Understanding the LEDs Your XHub for Notebooks has 6 colored LEDs to help you monitor the status of your XHub and USB devices. Refer to the figure below for the location of each LED. 1 2 3 4 Power LED USB Uplink LED USB Device LEDs ■ The red Power LED indicates that the XHub is connected to a power source and that the power is on. ■ The green USB Uplink LED indicates that the XHub is properly connected to a USB port on your computer, and that a USB 2.0 driver (version 3.0 or later) is installed. (See Installing Drivers on page 5 for more information.) ■ The four USB Device LEDs (numbered 1 through 4) indicate the status of the four USB ports on your XHub (numbered 1 through 4). When a Device LED is illuminated, a USB device is connected to the corresponding USB port. 9

Understanding the LEDs
Your XHub for Notebooks has 6 colored LEDs to help you monitor
the status of your XHub and USB devices. Refer to the figure below
for the location of each LED.
The red Power LED indicates that the XHub is connected to a
power source and that the power is on.
The green USB Uplink LED indicates that the XHub is properly
connected to a USB port on your computer, and that a USB 2.0
driver (version 3.0 or later) is installed. (See
Installing Drivers
on
page 5
for more information.)
The four USB Device LEDs (numbered 1 through 4) indicate the
status of the four USB ports on your XHub (numbered 1
through 4). When a Device LED is illuminated, a USB device is
connected to the corresponding USB port.
