Clean the Beverage Storage Tank

Beverage Storage Tank The beverage storage tank holds 3 liters of beverage and is located inside the refrigerator on the door. To fill the beverage storage tank: 1. Make sure the beverage storage tank is seated firmly in the refrigerator door. 2. Unscrew the cap on the storage tank cover, but do not remove the cap from the strap attaching it to the cover. 3. Using a pitcher or carafe, fill the beverage storage tank with up to 3 liters of water or a clear liquid beverage. A B Clean the Beverage Storage Tank Clean the beverage storage tank, the storage tank cover and valve parts that come into contact with the beverage before first use and before each refill. 1. Remove the storage tank from the door by grasping the edges with both hands and lifting it up and out. 2. Place the storage tank on a flat, firm surface and lift the cover off. A. Strap B. Cap 3. Remove the valve by turning it counterclockwise. Dispense Water 4. Press a sturdy container against the dispenser lever. IMPORTANT: You do not need to apply a lot of pressure to the lever in order to activate the dispenser. 5. Once you have dispensed the desired amount of beverage, release the lever, but continue to hold the container under the spigot until the beverage stops flowing completely. IMPORTANT: Hold the container with your hand while dispensing a beverage. Do not place a container in the dispenser cavity to fill. 6. Remove the container to stop dispensing. 4. Remove the cap from the tank cover by aligning the grooves in the strap with the grooves in the tank cover and pulling gently. Dispenser Lock The dispenser can be locked for easy cleaning or to avoid unintentional dispensing by small children and pets. NOTE: The dispenser lock keeps the dispenser lever from moving. To lock and unlock dispenser: ■ Push down on the lock located on the back of the dispenser lever until it is firmly against the back wall of the dispenser cavity. ■ Lift up on the lock to unlock the dispenser lever. 5. Using mild dish soap, warm water and a soft cloth, wash all parts and the storage tank. Rinse thoroughly to make sure there is no soapy residue and dry with a soft cloth. NOTE: To avoid damage to the finish, do not use a rough or abrasive cloth to clean the beverage storage tank. A A. Dispenser lever lock 11
