2.3.2 Installing the CPU heatsink The AMD Opteron™ 6100 series processors require a specially designed heatsink to ensure optimum thermal condition and performance. • Ensure to use qualified heatsink assembly with dimension 90mm x 90mm x 27mm only. • Ensure that you have applied the thermal grease to the top of the CPU before installing the heatsink and fan. Follow these steps to install the CPU heatsink and fan. 1. Locate the heatsink standoffs on the motherboard. 2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the four heatsink screws in a diagonal sequence, ensuring that the screw holes are matched with the heatsink standoffs. Installing the CPU heatsink
The AMD Opteron™ 6100 series processors require a specially designed heatsink
to ensure optimum thermal condition and performance.
Ensure to use qualified heatsink assembly with dimension 90mm x 90mm x
27mm only.
Ensure that you have applied the thermal grease to the top of the CPU
before installing the heatsink and fan.
Follow these steps to install the CPU heatsink and fan.
1.
Locate the heatsink standoffs on the motherboard.

sequence, ensuring that the screw holes are matched with the heatsink
