Chapter 4
CPU Current Capability
CPU Current Capability provides wider total
power range for overclocking. A higher value
setting gets higher VRM power consumption
delivery.
A higher value brings a wider total power range
and extends the overclocking frequency range
simultaneously.
Suggestion: choose higher value when overclocking or under high CPU loading for extra
power support.
CPU Voltage Frequency
Switching frequency will affect the VRM
transient response and component thermal.
Higher frequency gets quicker transient
response.
Enable Spread Spectrum to enhance system
stability.
VRM Fixed Frequency Range: 300–
550kHz
Manual Frequency Step: 10kHz
Do not remove the thermal module when switching to Manual mode. The thermal
conditions should be monitored.
CPU/NB Load-line Calibration
Load-line is defined by Intel VRM spec and
affects CPU/NB voltage. The CPU/NB working
voltage will decrease proportionally to CPU/NB
loading. Higher load-line calibration could
get higher voltage and good overclocking
performance but increase the CPU/NB and
VRM thermal.
