3 Operation C Your blender has been designed to process small amount of foods; it must not be used for any other purpose. Do not use the it to chop extremely C hard ingredients such as coconut, grains or bones. Remove the stalks of plants, shells of walnuts, and bones, sinews and gristles of meats. C Unplug the appliance when not in use. 3.1 Preparation WARNING: Switch off the A appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use. 1. Remove all packaging and stickers materials and dispose of them according to the applicable legal regulations. 2. Take the entire unit of the motor housing (8) and place it on a level surface, e.g. on the kitchen counter. 3. Now set the jug (4) with the opening facing down on a level surface. 4. Rotate the blade unit (6) clockwise and raise it from the edges to remove it. A WARNING: Do not remove the blade unit by lifting it from the blades. A WARNING: The blade unit is very sharp! Handle the blade unit with utmost care, especially during cleaning, in order to avoid injuries. 5. Clean all parts, with the exception of the motor housing as described in "Cleaning and Care". 6. Then re-assemble the jug blender in the reverse order. 7. Put the jug D on the motor housing (8). C Make sure that the notches on the bottom of the jug fit those in the motor housing. 8. Cut the food into small pieces before using the appliance. 3.2 Blending 1. Place the device on an even and dry surface. The non-slip feet (10) ensure the stability of the appliance. 2. Make sure that the power cord is disconnected from the power supply and the control dial I is on "0" before putting food into the jug. 3. To remove the reservoir (4) from the motor unit (8), rotate it anti-clockwise and lift it. Put the reservoir on a flat surface. 4. Rotate the measuring beaker (1) anti-clockwise and lift to remove. Rotate the lid anticlockwise and lift to open. 5. Now put the ingredients to be blended in the jug (4). The ingredients should only be about 2-5 cm long. C Add water to ensure the jug blender functions smoothly. C Mix 3 units of hard food and 2 units of water in order to have a smooth jug blender experience (i.e: 60 gr hard food 40 ml water).
