Manually Configuring your Router section 1 Setting WPA/WPA2-PSK (no server) 1. From the "Allowed Client Type" drop-down menu, select "WPA/ WPA2". 2 2. For Authentication, select "Pre-shared Key" for typical home/SOHO use. This setting will have to be identical on the clients that you set 3 up. 3. Enter your Pre-Shared key. This can be from eight to 63 characters 4 and can be letters, numbers, or symbols. This same key must be used on all of the clients that you set up. Setting WPA/WPA2 (with radius server) Settings If your network uses a radius server to distribute keys to the clients, use this setting. 1. This setting will have to be identical on the clients that you set up. 3. Enter the session idle timeout of the radius server into the "Session Idel Timeout" field. 4. Enter the key interval, how often the keys are distributed (in packets), in the "Re-Authentication Period" field. 37

From the “Allowed Client Type” drop-down menu, select “WPA/
WPA2”.

use. This setting will have to be identical on the clients that you set
up.

Enter your Pre-Shared key. This can be from eight to 63 characters

might be something like: “Smith family network key”.

Setting WPA/WPA2 (with radius server) Settings
If your network uses a radius server to distribute
keys to the clients, use this setting.
1.
From the “Allowed Client Type” drop-down menu, select “WPA/
WPA2”.
2.
For Encryption Technique, select “802.1x” for environment with
RADIUS server. This setting will have to be identical on the clients
that you set up.
3.
Enter the session idle timeout of the radius server into the “Session
Idel Timeout” field.
4.
Enter the key interval, how often the keys are distributed (in
packets), in the “Re-Authentication Period” field.
