Section Troubleshooting For optimal performance, place the receiver at least eight inches (20cm) away from the computer monitor, the computer, any 1 external storage devices, or other electrical devices. 2 Make sure you have properly installed the batteries. Check to make sure the batteries you have installed are not dead (you can 3 do this by installing them into another device). If the keyboard does not register keystrokes, replace 4 the batteries. If the mouse pointer becomes choppy on-screen, replace 5 the batteries. Be sure that the mouse is not on a reflecting surface (such as a transparent, mirrored, or glossy table). If 6 this is the case, place an opaque or textured material-or a mouse pad-underneath the mouse.
