Troubleshooting of Minor Faults d WARNING TO AVOID RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Repairs should only be carried out by an authorized technician. If repairs are necessary, and you cannot eliminate the fault yourself with the aid of the following table: q Turn the program selector to Off. q Disconnect the washing machine from the power outlet. q Turn off the water taps. q Call Customer Service (refer to Page 27). Fault The door cannot be opened. Possible cause Child lock activated. Power failure. Door cannot be opened, even though the appliance has been switched off and on again. Program continues running, even though the appliance has been switched off and on again. Appliance cannot be operated. "Child lock activated" as indicated in the display field. Control lights do not light up. Program is running and/or the door is locked for safety reasons. Plug is loose or not inserted. Program selector turned to Off before end of program. Child lock activated. For safety reasons the door has been locked because the water level, temperature or drum speed is too high. Child lock activated. Child lock activated. A fuse has blown. Power failure. Program does not start. Start/Pause indicator light flashes. Program does not start. "Check Door !" indicated in the display field. Program does not start. "Real Time delay" is indicated in the display field. Clock cannot be set. "Set clock:" text remains in the display field even though the Menu button has been pressed. Start/Pause button not pressed. Door not closed properly. End time selected and activated. Program has already started; when a program has started, the clock cannot be set. The setting has switched from hours to minutes; both selection points have the same text. Action Deactivate child lock; (see Page 20) An interrupted program will be resumed when power is restored. If the laundry is to be removed during a power failure, call Customer Service (refer to Page 27). Wait until the program ends (see Page 21). Eliminate the cause. Select a program. Deactivate child lock (see Page 20). See "Adding to the laundry/Interrupting the program", Page 21 . Deactivate child lock (see Page 20). Deactivate child lock (see Page 20). Reset circuit breaker. Call Customer Service if this fault recurs. An interrupted program will be resumed when power is restored. If the laundry is to be removed during a power failure, call Customer Service (see page 27).
