Connecting the bass module to the music source (Figure 6) 1 The audic-input cable has three connectors at each end: red, white, and black. Connect one end of the audio-input cable to the jacks on the back of the bass module. The red connector goes intothe13"(right) AUDIO IN jack; the white connector into the 't: (left)AUDIO IN jack. Besure toinsert theblack connectorinto thebassmodule's SYSTEMCONTROLIN jack whenusingaLifestylat music centeror otherBose' musicsource.Ifyouarenot using aBosemusic source,leave theblack connector disconnected. A mmitailoAca 2 5.9K Connect theother endof theaud-ioinputcable to your music source. inserting the red connector into the "R" jack for the right channel; the whiteconnector intothe "L" jack for theleft channel. Insert the black connector into the SERIAL DATA OUTPUT or SYSTEM CONTROL jack on your lifestyle' music center or other Bose source.ItyouarenotusingaBose music source, leave theblack connector disconnected. Completing system setup Plugin the ACpower(mains)cord from your Lifestyle' music center (or other music source). 2 Make sure the voltage selector switch on the back of the Acoustimass' bass module is properly set for your area (Figure 7). Connect the detachable power (mains) cord to the power jack on the back of the bass module and then tothe AC(mains)outlet. 3 Turn the POWER switch ON (I), select your favorite music, and enjoy the lifelike sound.
