4 APPENDIX MAINTENANCE Simple sewing machine maintenance operations are described below. Oiling Changing the bulb Turn off the machine and unplug it. a CAUTION Put 2 to 3 drops of oil at each of the points b indicated below. Be sure to wipe any excess oil off the machine. ● Unplug the power supply cord before changing the bulb, otherwise injuries or an electric shock may occur. MAINTENANCE
Simple sewing machine maintenance operations are described below.
Oiling
a
Turn off the machine and unplug it.

Put 2 to 3 drops of oil at each of the points
indicated below.

machine.

After oiling, run the machine for a short time
at a fast speed without thread.
Memo
