Result Yes Yes Remedy Clean the scanner window with a dry tissue. Replace the drum unit. I-10 Faulty registration Possible cause Excessive paper load Print paper Ditto Paper registration sensor position incorrect Step 1 2 3 4 Check Is the paper loaded in the paper feeder more than 22 mm deep? Is the specified weight of the recommended paper being used? Is the first printing position within ±1 mm of the tolerance specification? Is the position of the paper registration sensor normal? Result Yes No Yes No Remedy Instruct the user to keep paper loads below 22 mm in depth. Instruct the user to use the recommended types of paper. Adjust the Y offset by using the utility software supplied. Reposition the sensor to the correct position. IV-13
