Component: Their Function and Operation Major compOnents Stitch length regulating dial and reverse lever: Funtion and operation (Stitch length adjusting and forward-reverse sewing) Lengthen ci Shorten Stitch length regulating dial (1): Funcion and operation • This, dial is used for adjusting stitch length in forward-reverse sewing. Turning the dial counterclockwise increases the length of the sititch. • Numbers on the dial indicate degrees of stitch length. Note: If the dial is set at Number 0, the machine won't feed material . Reverse lever (2): Function and operation • With the reverse lever (2) pressed down all the way, the machine feeds material backward keeping the same stitch length as in forward sewing. Note: The reverse lever is the self returning type. Releasing the lever sets the machine automatically back to forward sewing.
