FLAWLESS DETAIL With simultaneous RAW and JPEG shooting at resolutions of 12.2 Megapixels (EOS 450D) and 10.1 Megapixels (EOS 40D), both cameras recreate the complexity of skin tones with ease - producing detailed, 14-bit rich colour depth files, ready for post processing and poster-size reproduction. For the subtlest tonal gradations, the larger pixel sites of the EOS 40D CMOS sensor produce a wide dynamic range. Highlight Tone Priority in both cameras maximises detail in bright areas.
