TAKE A WIDER VIEW The giant 3.0" LCD gracing both cameras makes for more enjoyable review and easier, more accurate checks for sharpness and composition. Used with Live View mode, it helps frame landscape shots when using a tripod, or shooting from angles where viewfinder use is impractical. And no matter how low, high or wide your camera is mounted, an ultra-wide viewing angle makes composition and review a breeze. TAMING THE SUN The best defence against flare that causes poor contrast when shooting towards the sun is a Canon hood. Professional L-series lenses come boxed with a hood, designed for optimum results without vignetting. For all other Canon EF and EF-S lenses, hoods are available as an optional extra - to find the specific hood for your lens, check the compatibility chart on page 19. CREATIVE PANORAMAS Explore a very different side of photography with Canon's range of Tilt-and-Shift lenses. Shift to correct or exaggerate distortion when photographing tall or long objects. Tilt the plane of focus to bring two objects at vastly different distances from the camera into focus while maintaining a narrow depth of field, for striking 'miniature landscape' effects. 13
