Bulb Exposures★ When bulb is set, the shutter is open while you keep pressing the shutter button fully. Bulb exposures are useful when long exposures are required for night scenes, fireworks, astronomical photography, etc. 1 Turn the Mode Dial to . 2 Set the shutter speed to "y". • Look at the LCD panel and turn the dial to select "y". • "y" follows "K" 3 Select the desired aperture value. • Turn the switch to and turn the dial. 4 Start the bulb exposure. sDuring the bulb exposure, "y" blinks on the LCD panel. • The bulb exposure continues as long as you hold down the shutter button. • Remote Switch RS-60E3 (sold separately) is convenient for bulb exposures. • Bulb exposures are also possible with the Remote Controller RC-1/RC-5 (sold separately). When you press the transmit button, the exposure will start. To end the exposure, press the button again. • With a new set of batteries, the maximum bulb exposure time (at 20˚C) will be about 10 hours. 71
