Extenders (Sold Separately) ●● Attach the extender to the lens, and then attach the lens to the camera. To remove it, reverse the order. Errors may occur if you attach the extender to the camera first. ●● When using this lens when shooting with EOS A2/A2E/5, use -0.5 step exposure compensation when using extender EF1.4x II, and use -1 step exposure when using extender EF2x II. ●● Extenders cannot be used more than one at a time. ●● Please take note of the following when using an EOS-1D Mark II or a subsequently released camera able to use autofocus (AF) at an aperture value of f/8 (maximum aperture). If using this lens with a 1.4x extender and then setting the internal extender to 1.4x, the aperture value will be f/8, meaning that the frame for AF shooting will be the central AF frame. Even if the internal extender setting is returned to 1x, AF shooting will continue to use the central AF frame. To use an AF frame other than the central AF frame, please select the AF frame manually. When an extender is attached, the AF speed will become slower to retain proper control. ENG-24
