Shooting Using the Viewfinder If you want to save battery power, you can use the viewfinder for shooting instead of the screen. Shooting procedures are the same as when using the screen. The camera will automatically focus on subjects, but it will not detect and focus on faces. Turn off the screen. z Press the l button to turn off the screen (p. 43). Compose the scene and shoot. z Look into the viewfinder to compose the scene and shoot. The area visible in the viewfinder may differ slightly from the image taken. You may be able to see part of the lens through the viewfinder depending on the zoom position. Shooting Using a TV as the Display You can use a TV to display the camera screen content while shooting. • To connect the camera to a TV, follow the Steps in "Viewing Images on a TV" (p. 116). • Shooting procedures are the same as when using the camera screen. 100
