Using the Power Kits (Sold Separately) Using Rechargeable Batteries (Battery and Charger Kit CBK4-200) This kit includes a battery charger and four rechargeable AA-size NiMH (nickel metal hydride) batteries. Charge batteries as shown below. To a power outlet Charge Indicator The charge indicator blinks while charging, then remains lit when charging is finished. z This charger can be used only to charge Canon AA-size NiMH batteries NB-2AH. Please do not attempt to charge NB-2AH batteries in any other type of charger. z Do not mix batteries with different purchase dates or different charge states. When recharging batteries, always recharge all 4 of them at the same time. z Do not attempt to recharge fully charged batteries, as doing so may reduce or impair battery performance. Also, do not charge batteries for more than 24 consecutive hours. z Do not recharge batteries in enclosed areas that tend to retain heat. z Do not recharge the batteries until the LCD monitor displays the "Change the batteries" message. Repeatedly recharging batteries before they become fully depleted may cause batteries to lose capacity. 109 Appendix
