2 Press the button and set it to (flash on). z If you are using an externally mounted flash, please refer to its manual for setting instructions. 3 Focus the camera on the subject on which you wish to lock the exposure setting. 4 Press the shutter button halfway. 5 Press the button. z The flash fires a pre-flash and the exposure is fixed. 6 Re-aim the camera to compose the shot as desired and press the shutter button fully. To Release the FE Lock: Operate a button other than the control dial. The FE lock function is not available when [Flash Adjust] is set to [Manual] (p. 72). Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB Mode) Shooting Mode In this mode, the camera automatically changes the exposure within a set range to take three shots as the same interval as continuous shooting (p. 44) after you press the shutter button once.
