62 Appendices Downloading Images without Installing the Software You can download images by simply connecting the camera to a computer, without installing the software bundled on the DIGITAL CAMERA Solution Disk. However, please note that there are several limitations. If you use the bundled software, the following limitations do not apply. • It may take a few minutes, after connecting to the camera, until you can download images. • The camera information (firmware version, etc.) may not display correctly. In this case, use the software from the DIGITAL CAMERA Solution Disk. • RAW images or JPEG images recorded at the same time as RAW images may not be downloadable with some software programs or operating systems. • Movies will not download correctly. • Images shot in the vertical orientation may be downloaded in the horizontal position. • The protection setting for images protected in the camera may be lost when transferred to the computer. • In addition, there may be problems with downloading images or image information correctly depending upon the version of the operating system in use, the file size or the software in use.

Downloading Images without Installing the
Software
You can download images by simply connecting the camera to a computer, without installing
the software bundled on the DIGITAL CAMERA Solution Disk.
However, please note that there are several limitations.
•It may take a few minutes, after connecting to the camera, until you can download images.
•The camera information (firmware version, etc.) may not display correctly. In this case, use the
software from the DIGITAL CAMERA Solution Disk.
•RAW images or JPEG images recorded at the same time as RAW images may not be
