Error: An -E- (error) appears with First/-Order- or Last. Cause: Images on the installed memory card are recorded in formats that are not supported by this printer. Corrective Action: Such images are not printed. Error: Photograph cannot be read from memory card. (The indicator lamp does not go on; memory card mark does not appear.) Cause: • Memory card or PC card adapter is not set properly. • Memory card was ejected while data was being read. • Memory card that cannot be used was set. Corrective action: • Insert a memory card deeply that can be used (see page 28). If a memory card is already set, eject the card, set it again, and check that the indicator lamp goes on and the memory card mark appears. (The indicator lamp goes on and memory card mark appears on the panel when a PC card adapter and memory card compatible with this printer are set correctly, even if there are no available files on the memory card.) • Check whether the PC card adapter is ATA-compliant. ¯Notes • When changing/modifying the content of the memory card with a computer, ensure to print from the computer. • If software applications for printing with a computer are included with the digital camera being used, use them to print the images. ¯Note If the error is not corrected by the above procedure, turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and then turn on the power again. 55
