5 To restore the cameras to the default settings when updating the firmware, select [Restore] for [Initial Settings]. If you select [Restore], all user settings except the following will be erased and restored to the factory default settings after the firmware is updated. • Administrator password of the basic settings, LAN, IPv4, IPv6 • Date and time • Host access restrictions for security • SSL / TLS • 802.1X To keep the current settings of the cameras, select [Do Not Restore] for [Initial Settings]. 6 Specify the time until cameras restart after starting the update process in [Time until camera restarts] in minutes (30 to 60). 5 Camera Maintenance If the actual total firmware update time for all cameras is longer than the time specified here, you can close the firmware update screen after the specified time has elapsed and perform other operations. However, cameras for which the firmware is still being updated cannot be operated. Conversely, if the actual total firmware update time is shorter than the time specified here, you can close the screen and perform other operations immediately after the update process is complete. 7 Click [Start]. Updating of the firmware begins. During update, a progress bar appears in the [Message] field. When update has finished a message indicating the updated status appears. Note You can stop the firmware update part way through by clicking [Stop]. However, the process cannot be canceled for cameras that have entered the restarting stage. 55
