Installing the Software Getting Started This section describes instructions for installing the printer driver and the Canon Driver Information Assist Service, and for uninstalling the printer driver. 2 Installing the Printer Driver Before using the printer, you must install the PCL5c, PCL5e, or PCL6 printer drivers for it. For color printers, install the PCL5c printer driver, and for black-and-white printers, install either the PCL5e or the PCL6 printer driver. The installation procedures for all of the printer drivers are the same. Refer to the figure below in order to decide which procedure is necessary and read the corresponding pages in this manual.
