Use the Sleep mode Use the Sleep mode Introduction When you do not need the printer for a while, the printer can go into the sleep mode. The power consumption in the sleep mode is very low. The printer can enter the sleep mode in 2 ways: • Automatically • Manually The timers and settings for the automatic way can be defined in the Settings Editor. The procedure below describes the manual way. How to use the sleep mode 1. To put the printer into the sleep mode, press the Sleep button at the right-hand side of the operator panel. The printer will go into the sleep mode when the list of 'Scheduled jobs' is empty. To put the printer into the sleep mode sooner, use the 'Stop after job' function. 2. To wake up the printer from the sleep mode, press the Sleep button again. The printer will warm up. The warming-up time depends on how long the printer was in the sleep mode.
