English Connecting the speakers You will find the connector terminal on the rear of your Canton speakers. This terminal is provided for connecting the Canton speakers to the amplifier.Important! Make sure that the polarity is correct. Plus to plus and minus to minus. In order to make it easier to distinguish plus (+) from minus (-) the screwclamps on the back of the loudspeaker (plus = red, minus = black) as well as the screwclamps of your amplifier or receiver differ in color or are marked with a symbol. Also the two conductors of the loudspeaker cable differ in color, form or marking. Different polarity between the left and the right channel lead to sound falsifications. For a better understanding please check the operating instructions of your controller. Important! Switch-off your amplifier before connecting the speakers to it. 26
